Bluedevils News · Fort Lupton Softball gets seeded 8th and will host La Junta in the first round of the State Playoffs

The Bluedevils after going 15-1 Overall and 11-1 in the Colorado League were rewarded with a 1st Round Home game for the 3A State Softball tournament next week. This is a reflection of all of our players and coaches hard work, and commitment in this unique 2020 COVID campaign. These girls endured a Quarantine (14 days no practice), playing of make up games, sometimes 3-4 in a week, and showed the heart of champions by showing their Grit and Heart every game they played.  They finished 8th in the CHSAA RPI, 8th in MaxPreps and 7th in the Coaches poll earning them a top 8 spot and an opportunity to host the first round of the State Softball Tournament. Only 16 teams qualified this year, and for a complete copy of the bracket you can visit the following link. We look forward to continuing the success in the postseason.

The game time is TBD and will be held either on Tuesday October 6th or Wednesday October 7th. Stay tuned to this site for more details on Monday about tickets and game times, but they will be limited and available to our players parents first.

Congratulations and I can’t wait to host our first ever State Softball tournament game this upcoming week.

Let’s Go Bludevils!
